Application case | Warehouse expansion, Efficiency soars! ZOWELL helps Southeast Asian large logistics service providers reduce costs and increase efficiency!
Nowadays, the global competition in beauty and daily chemical retail is becoming increasingly fierce. The warehousing efficiency and order response speed of backend logistics services have a significant impact on frontend store services. Recently, ZOWELL 3-way VNA Forklift successfully empowered a large logistics service provider in Southeast Asia by deploying 4 units of man-down seated type 3-way VNA forklifts in its regional warehousing and transfer center, providing strong support for its logistics services.
1. Project Background
This client primarily provides logistics-related services such as warehousing, transportation, and order management to the companies it serves, and is responsible for the regional distribution and delivery of numerous beauty, personal care, and daily necessities. With the continuous increase in business volume and the expanding range of SKU types, logistics upgrades are imperative.
2. Project Challenges
1) Storage capacity is nearing its upper limit
The limited warehouse space is not fully utilized, unable to meet the ever-growing storage demand for SKU.
2) Slow order delivery
Customers have frequent inbound and outbound storage and retrieval needs. Reach trucks require multiple turns to complete the operations of storing and retrieving goods and docking with storage locations, which takes a long time.
3) There are many fragile items, leading to high costs of damage to goods
How to accomplish warehousing and transportation accurately and smoothly has become a major challenge for customers to reduce operating costs and enhance logistics efficiency.
3. ZOWELL Solution
In response to the aforementioned challenges, ZOWELL Intelligent Forklift has tailored a narrow aisle high-density storage solution for the customer. By optimizing the warehouse layout and deploying four pedestrian-controlled three-way forklifts, ZOWELL addresses the current logistics pain points for the customer.

1) ZOWELL Intelligent Forklift has redesigned the warehouse layout for the client, arranging 8.5m-high racks with a aisle width of 1.85m, creating a total of 8 working aisles. Each aisle approximately 100m long, fully utilizing the horizontal, vertical, and vertical spaces of the existing warehouse, achieving a leapfrog improvement in storage capacity!

2) The 4 units of man-down seated type 3-way VNA forklifts are equipped with 3-way electric forks that can rotate 180°. This allows for loading, unloading, and stacking operations in three directions without the need to turn the vehicle in the aisle, greatly simplifying the operation process, reducing the time per operation, and improving the efficiency of order fulfillment.

3) Utilizing magnetic strip guide for assisted driving, vehicles can achieve straight-line travel without requiring the driver to control the direction autonomously within the aisle. This can reduce the incidence of accidents involving collisions with racks and facilitate a more stable and efficient connection between the inbound and outbound processes.
During the process of storing and retrieving goods, the forklift driver can quickly determine the height of the forks through the fork camera and horizontal laser line, further enhancing the accuracy of goods storage and retrieval. When the forks are displaced to the end, they will automatically slow down, reducing the shaking of the goods and effectively lowering the risk of damage to high-value fragile items.
